Five year sponsorship deal with MNP

Speaking at the M&Y open day on Sunday morning, Peter Tasko, Hitchin Rugby’s Vice-Chair said, “This is the start of the 30^th season that Hitchin Rugby Club has been delivering rugby to the young people of Hitchin. As a community club we are delighted that MNP, a local company, will be supporting us over the next five years.”

MNP’s Managing Director, Stuart Pledge and Hitchin's Under 9's coach added, “We design buildings all over the UK and abroad, but our roots are in Hitchin. Our headquarters are here, many of us and many of our children play sports locally. But our real passion is rugby. As a business filled with rugby supporters, coaches, players and parents, it was a natural decision to support such a great family and community-orientated club.”

Hitchin’s Sponsorship Officer, Becky Bolter, speaking about the sponsorship deal said, “At our heart we are a community club. And that makes MNP such a great fit with us as our lead sponsor. Their commitment over the next five years gives us a secure financial base and a fantastic foundation from which to continue to build and develop rugby in Hitchin.”

When asked about the sponsorship deal Mr. Pledge said, “Over the next five years we are committed to supporting the club financially and with the club’s future development plans for it’s clubhouse and facilities we will continue to assist where we can with the building design.”

Christophe Lavialle, Chair of the M&Y section commented, “Our open-morning today is about giving children an opportunity to see why rugby is such a fantastic sport. Its core values of Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Sportsmanship are what make the game special. Stu is one of the volunteer coaches of our under 9’s squad and like so many of our small army of volunteers, he’s here today helping us introduce rugby to a new generation of children in Hitchin. MNP’s sponsorship ensures we can continue to deliver even better rugby over the next five years and beyond”.
